My Story

I remember clearly in April 2015, the Lord placed a purpose in my heart to help other single moms. As a single mom myself, I intimately understood the challenges that single moms and their children face. I had experienced firsthand how the lack of resources and support can make a situation feel hopeless. However, through my faith and by connecting with other single moms on similar journeys, I discovered a profound sense of hope and encouragement. I believe that no single mom should feel alone or without hope. That's why I founded Rewriting Stories. I desire that through our organization, single moms and their children will have the opportunity to experience the love and the HOPE that is found in Jesus and to be connected to a supportive community and resources that will empower them to move forward with confidence and strength.

With 1 out of 4 households in our country being led by a single mother, I am certain that as you read this, YOU likely know someone who is a single mother who is struggling. Let them know that we are here for them, and we ask YOU to please consider joining us in our efforts to make a difference, one single-mother family at a time.

TESTIMONIALS

WHAT MOMS ARE SAYING

I absolutely love the Single Mom Group! I haven’t been apart of this group long but this has given me a safe space to open up, given me insight on how to navigate being a new single mom, and has given me hope that things will get better for me and my girls.

KENDRA, RS MOM

I have been uplifted, challenged, able to encourage, encouraged, and so much more while being in this single mom group. My daughter has learned about God. She has learned about the fruit of the spirit, how to love others, and has had the opportunity to pray for and with her peers.

JANET, RS MOM

I have been in this group for a short amount of time, but just in this time it has given me so much hope and life. I don't feel alone. I am around a group of women who have walked through similar things as me and it makes me feel so supported and loved. I felt so seen as a mother and appreciated. I can't imagine how much this group is impacting the lives of other women. I wish I joined this group sooner. I am so grateful to be a part of it.

RACHEL, RS MOM

Many of our families have walked through abuse in their journeys.
